The New Wardrobe

I know it's hard for most of you who know me to imagine me in professional business attire. Well, imagine no more. Here's what I'm wearing these days to the office.

And THIS is for 'casual Friday'
I actually have one more suit. Will take a photo of it next week to post.

Final Post on Mom's 85th Birthday

Here's the whole gang at Gaido's, except for Aunt Fairy who somehow didn't make it into either shot -- her arm is seen in the view that has Uncle Bobby closest to the camera. And that's her hair making his look a lot fuller!

Tish seems to have grown more arms in this shot!

And Ocean, is that a worm on your forehead???????

What would Mom's birthday be without her favorite drink? Gordo! Margarita please!

And here we all show off the cool bracelets that Denise brought us from her Caribbean cruise.

We did sing Mom the traditional birthday tune and the cake was made from scratch by Doodums.

Shari made a toast.

And so did Tish.

Then I left the fool camera in movie mode instead of photo mode when trying to get this shot of the cool earrings that Tish and Shari were wearing.

More on Mom's 85th Birthday

Lori tells what she had delivered to Mom's apartment the day before her birthday. Then Mom talks about having some trouble with it. BTW, that photo of the birthday card with the message of celebrating an 85th birthday on the previous post was actually the one that Lori gave her. Who knew that we'd BOTH find cards designed specifically for octogenarians?!?!

Lori really went all out for Mom's birthday. In addition to the orchid and buying part of her meal (along with the Bangs and Bynums) she got Mom this $85 gift card to Randall's!

Lori's kids and grandkids all came and they found an interesting card to give Mom as well.

And inside one of her favorite things! Aunt Fairy & Uncle Bobby also gave Mom some scratch-offs. She won $31 total from all the lucky tickets.

"Thank you, Honey Boy."

The final gift was from Shari - a bananagram game. Mom and I will definitely add it to the weekend game playing routine.

Just a few more photos and videos to go.

Mom's 85th Birthday Videos

Mom turned 85 years young yesterday. The whole family (almost!) went to Gaido's in Galveston to celebrate with her. Got photos to share as well, but decided to post the videos first. Mom begins opening her cards and gifts.

Next was one from Dave & Tish.

Denise got her a Bible she could read in just one year. She's holding it here while I asked her about her current Bible reading regimen.

I'm going to insert one photo here so you can better understand my comment on her card.
